Smithsonian - Entertainment Nation

A very custom built immersive experience in Washington DC that combines 3 separate “rooms” into one. We worked night shifts mixing the material on location, as the exhibit was still being built during the day.

This exhibit was 10 years in the making and is more than 150 feet in length. There are 2 standard Atmos 7.1.4 layouts on each end. There is a row of speakers mounted above the hallway connecting the “rooms” as well. We had to come up with a custom way to mix it all simultaneously and then an another system to combine it all and ensure reliable playback, for many years.
